Teachers who teach in extremely difficult villages are entitled to attractive allowances

(Chinhphu.vn) - Mr. Dinh Van Dung is an English teacher at Ngo May primary school, Ia Tor Commune, Chu Prong District, Gia Lai Province. He is currently teaching 9 lessons according to  an specialization assignment  on the special difficulties village of Ia Tor (under Decision No. 131 / QĐ–TTgdated January 25, 2017).

Mr Dung would like to ask, can he enjoyed attractive allowance under the Decree 116/2010/NĐ-CP?

Regarding this issue, the People's Committee of Gia Lai Province responded as follows:

Based on the instruction of the Ministry of Home Affair in the Official Document No. 3280 / BNV-TL dated 09.16.2013 and the Official Document No 3590 / BNV-TL dated September 5, 2014 on policies for cadres and civil servants, officials who are working in regions with extremely difficult socio-economic conditions, the People's Committee of Gia Lai Province issued Document No. 1370 / UBND-NC dated April 24 2015 guiding:

"For managers, staff and teachers in schools where the main schools are located in areas not in extremely difficult socio-economic conditions, but there are school sites located in villages that are in areas with extremely difficult socio-economic conditions (and vice versa), if having worked in regions with extremely difficult socio-economic conditions up to 50% of the working time per month, policies prescribed in Decree No. 116/2010/NĐ-CP of the Government shall apply. "
